Oliver Pearce

Director, Head of Business Development

A corporate communications specialist, Oliver brings a wealth of experience to Sinclair. A former business journalist with a keen understanding of the communications landscape, media relations, news angles and the challenges and needs of businesses in the fast-changing Mainland China market, Oliver devises clever strategy that aligns brands’ corporate communications strategies with their business objectives.

After working for almost a decade in newsrooms in London and Shanghai for international and Chinese media, Oliver moved in-house as global marketing director for a NYSE-listed clean energy company. Prior to joining Sinclair, he was a senior account manager with a multinational communications agency in Shanghai working with cross-sector corporate brands.

A native Londoner, Oliver holds a Master’s degree in Publishing from the University of the Arts London and a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of London. He is fluent in English and Polish and business proficient in Mandarin Chinese, French and Spanish.

The thing I love about my job is… “That in order to be a great accounts person you not only need to cultivate good media relations but also an exceptional list of restaurants, bars and influential contacts, as well as a strong sense of style.”

On the weekend, you usually find me… “Enjoying football on the field, in the North Terrace at Hongkou Stadium, or down the pub cheering on my beloved Spurs. On a perfect weekend I will get to do each of these things.”

I’ve always wanted to travel to… “Beirut. The city once known as the Paris of the Levant is not only beautiful with outstanding food, but an example of how different cultures can live together in harmony.”
