Creative, motivated, and naturally curious, Lydia is a communications and content whizz. She joins Sinclair with almost a decade of professional writing experience behind her, predominantly in humanitarian and community-based settings. Her specialist skills include adapting tone of voice, developing brand identity, and writing with empathy.
Originally from Aotearoa New Zealand, Lydia relocated to Hong Kong in 2019. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, taking photographs, and finding a good coffee shop or café to sit in while she writes.
Lydia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Victoria University of Wellington. A skilled communicator in her native English, she also speaks conversational Swedish.
On the weekend, you can usually find me… Patting dogs and taking photos along one of the many promenades that enclose Victoria Harbour.
My favourite spot in Hong Kong is… Cheung Chau – specifically, Kwun Yam Wan Beach. Its clear waters and soft sands remind me of New Zealand in the summer.
I’ve always wanted to travel to… Antarctica. Aside from all the exciting climate science taking place down there, I love snow and I love penguins. It’s my ideal holiday spot.
