Voyage to Singapore in the heart of Hong Kong

Whether they are Hongkongers craving immersive experiences or a Singaporeans missing the tastes of home, the Royal Pacific Hotel’s Singapore-themed staycation has got everything needed for those who are missing Singapore this festive season. In collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board, the Royal Pacific Hotel has curated a staycation titled ‘Have a Merli Christmas’ in reference to Singapore’s iconic mascot, the Merlion. Merli is passionate in his quest to share on the best food and most interesting things to do in Singapore, and he will pay a visit to Royal Pacific Hotel with his four friends – Marina the Otter, Chomp Chomp the Crocodile, Jewel the Hornbill, and D65 the Durian UFO.

Merli and friends will guide guests on this festive adventure to discover Singapore’s unique culture, food and sights. He will make a special appearance at Café on the PARK to celebrate a Singaporean-style Christmas with guests on 24-26 and 31 December 2021 (during dinner hours).  Merli-themed Christmas decorations and photo spots are also set up in various locations in the hotel for families and friends to capture festive photos.

During their stay, guests will be transported to Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa, Merlion Park, the Singapore Flyer and Orchard Road, reigniting their passion for travel. The package includes room accommodation and full-day Singaporean dining experiences for two persons, a special-edition Merli gift set that includes a Merli tote bag, a plush toy, postcards and a luggage tag. An in-room exclusive snack bag of Singapore’s popular IRVINS salted egg yolk fish skin and potato chips, as well as Yeo’s drinks, will also be available.

Guests can savour a hearty bowl of Bak Kut Teh, a Singaporean traditional breakfast, at Café on the PARK in the mornings. As part of the staycation package, the Merli Singapore Afternoon Tea will also be served, featuring a delicious array of Singaporean hawker and local delights. At dinner, guests can feast on a delectable spread of Singapore hawker favourites and signatures such as Ngoh Hiang, a five-spice minced pork roll, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Pepper/Cereal Butter Prawns, and many others which are guaranteed to satisfy cravings for the city experience.

At the SNAP Singapore photo booth, guests can grab a shot in Singapore’s most ‘instagrammable’ neighbourhoods. With the help of AI technology, this interactive photo booth will select a location in Singapore that best suits the colour of the guests’ #OOTD (outfit of the day). Each photo will also be accompanied by a write-up on the featured location for guests to learn more about the various places of interest.

The staycation is now available until 31 March 2022, and priced at HKD1,510 per room night in a Pacific Grand Room, and HKD2,310 per room night in a Tower Harbour Suite.
