With sustainability at the core of its vision, Sino Group has gone a step further in elevating its Clubhouse experience by collaborating with like-minded partners, offering residents an array of activities centred around wellbeing and green living. Working with Michelin starred Roganic and Rooftop Republic, the developer delivers residents of Grand Central an eco-minded lifestyle experience.
Grand Central – which serves as Hong Kong’s largest urban redevelopment project undertaken by the Urban Renewal Authority – is one of Kwun Tong’s newest landmarks. The residence redefines urban living through the indoor and outdoor leisure space that spans over 97,000 sq. ft. and offers facilities that empower the community to be closer to nature and invest in their health.
The tranquil environment is home to over 120 species of plants and trees for people to explore. The scenery is shaped through layers of greenery, both horizontal and vertical, across multiple levels. In addition, significant green space, spanning over 70,000 sq. ft. and making up approximately 30% of Grand Central, reduces the urban heat island effect and local pollution, having a positive impact on the environment well beyond the complex.
Grand Central showcases Sino Group’s eighth urban farm under the group’s green community project, Farm Together, which aims to bring the community closer to nature through seed planting. Overlooking Kwun Tong is the Green Kitchen, a semi-outdoor kitchen with multiple BBQ facilities and a dedicated planter for growing fresh greens. Home to freshly grown produce, the Green Kitchen illuminates a sustainable way of living, where residents get to enjoy their BBQ feasts alongside homegrown herbs and vegetables.
Meanwhile, the Smart Gym at the Clubhouse is kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment, helping residents keep fit. Gym-goers can benefit from the unique circuit training programmes Pavigym PRAMA and iWall, the latter being the first to be adopted in a Hong Kong clubhouse. Another special highlight of the Smart Gym is the interactive mirror KARA Smart Fitness which allows users to work out alongside celebrity trainers through video streaming.
