Sinclair Comms was a big winner at the 3rd Hong Kong Public Relations Awards 2016. In the presence of incoming Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam, the boutique agency picked up two awards from one of Hong Kong’s leading industry associations. Account Manager Holly Chan was crowned Young Professional of the Year, edging a highly competitive field. A much-loved member of the team, Holly has proven her skills across the spectrum of lifestyle industries working on award-winning campaigns with South Australian Tourism Commission and Event Horizon by British Council, with other key accounts in 2016 including Tourism Australia, Massimo De Carlo, Pirata Group and Citygate Outlets by Swire Properties.
“Thank you to all amazing people I have met on this journey,” said Holly on her win. “This award means a lot to me and I couldn’t do it without the guidance from my mentors and colleagues. Thank you to #teamawesome at Sinclair Comms!”
A passionate PR professional and the consummate team player, Holly also offered some advice to up-and-coming PR stars: “There is something that I remind myself every day: stay passionate; stay curious. #bestjobever”
In addition to Holly’s win, Sinclair also picked up the Award of Merit in the New Media/Digital Communications category for our work with the South Australian Tourism Commission and our social media-led campaign inspiring family travel to South Australia. The nod adds to a growing tally of leading industry awards at which this campaign, starring Hong Kong celebrity Cheuk Wan Chi “G” and her grandmother, has been recognised. The campaign has also picked up awards at the Mumbrella Asia Awards 2017, PR Awards 2016 and the Marketing Excellence Awards 2016.
