Sinclair celebrates its 14th anniversary month with Gold at the Campaign Asia-Pacific PR Awards 2023

The ESG focused “Reducing plastic with Baby Shark and Aaron Kwok” campaign with client McDonald’s, with its memorable theme song and sustainability focused Happy Meal Book, resonated with children and families alike and was awarded trophies for Cause-Related – Public Awareness, Public Education and Best Sponsorship/Partnership.


The Campaign Asia-Pacific PR Awards 2023 are one of the most prestigious events in the industry and this year were held on 14 June, unveiling 152 winners across 60 categories. McDonald’s “Reducing plastic with Baby Shark and Aaron Kwok” campaign was awarded Gold for ‘Cause-Related – Public Awareness’, Gold for ‘Public Education’ and Silver for ‘Best Sponsorship/Partnership’. It was a wonderful way to cap the team’s many achievements in our 14th anniversary month.

The campaign was part of McDonald’s Hong Kong’s commitment to creating an impactful city-wide sustainability movement and raise awareness of sustainability through Action & Education targeted at children, families and customers of all backgrounds.

The campaign featured celebrity father Aaron Kwok as Green Ambassador and a cross-over music video with world renowned Baby Shark, to introduce the launch of wooden cutlery and encourage customers to make more sustainable choices. Happy Meal storybook sets were also created and saw a large number of customers eager to redeem them – and educate themselves and their families on the importance of sustainability.
