Independent PR agency Sinclair took home three awards at the 4th Hong Kong Public Relations Awards at a ceremony held on Friday, 17 May and presented by the Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals’ Association (PRPA).
The accolades were presented for work and people, reinforcing the agency’s passion for creating positive impact for world-leading brands, as well as its continued dedication to fostering the next generation of communications professionals.
Sinclair was awarded the top prize in the Cross-Boundary Communications category for Shoes: Pleasure and Pain, a multi-city exhibition presented by Swire Properties in partnership with the Victoria and Albert Museum London. The immersive installation, which took place across five Swire Properties locations across Greater China over an 18-month period, saw Sinclair centralise and align communications for each edition of the exhibition with an integrated strategy that drove footfall and conversation to the Asia-first showcase. The PRPA award adds to a lengthening list of accolades for the exhibition, testament to the agency’s strength in creating impact across different regional markets.
Sinclair’s passion for building positive social change was recognised with a silver award in the NGOs/NPOs/Social Enterprises Communications category for work on WWF’s Sustainable Seafood Week. The week-long event, which took place in November 2018, saw retailers, restaurants, hotels and caterers citywide promoting sustainable seafood products to consumers to build awareness around the importance of environmentally friendly practices. This latest award comes hot off the heels of recognition for the campaign at the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards last month.
In the individual categories, Janet Chan was named PRPA’s Young Professional of the Year. A highly in-demand communications strategist and much-loved member of the Sinclair team, Janet takes lead on key client accounts across sector and industry, most notably award-winning work with longstanding partner Singapore Tourism Board, as well as internationally celebrated brands such as ifc mall, WWF, FWD, Special Olympics, and SCAD Hong Kong, among others. Janet’s award represents Sinclair’s second consecutive win in the category, following on from Holly Chan’s individual accolade at the 3rd Hong Kong Public Relations Awards.
