Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) has retained Sinclair to drive their integrated communications in Asia following a competitive pitch.
Building on a successful partnership during the 2016-17 academic year, Sinclair will continue to drive awareness of SCAD’s academic excellence, creative degrees and art and design activities among both prospective students and within creative circles in the region.
SCAD is internationally renowned as the university for creative careers. Offering more degree programs and specialisations than any other art and design university, SCAD is uniquely qualified to prepare talented students for professional, creative careers, many of whom are leading the way in their fields. SCAD is a private, nonprofit, accredited institution offering bachelor’s and master’s degrees in more than 40 areas of study, as well as minors in more than 75 disciplines in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia; in Hong Kong; in Lacoste, France; and online through SCAD eLearning.
SCAD Hong Kong opened in 2010 at the former North Kowloon Magistracy in Sham Shui Po, and is acknowledged as the leading university for creatives in the region. SCAD’s innovative Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) enables and encourages students to expand their skills through work with leading local institutions. Students participating in CLC programmes gain practical, hands-on training in creating concepts and solutions for real-life design challenges. Last academic year saw a landmark CLC collaboration with MTR Corporation – Sham Shui Po MTR Station will be revitalised in 2018 using SCAD student designs initiated by the project.
This latest re-appointment confirms Sinclair’s regional standing as one of the leading communications agencies for the art and design field. Founder and Managing Director of Sinclair, Kiri Sinclair, said: “Sinclair are experts in Art & Design communications and are passionate about championing Hong Kong’s place on the world stage in the creative fields. We are thrilled to be strengthening our partnership with SCAD, a world-leading education institution with a reputation for nurturing the region’s very best talent into the future greats of the creative industry. The creative industries are playing an increasingly important role in Hong Kong’s economic growth, identified as a key driving force for the city’s future development. SCAD graduates will be set up for very bright futures, so sharing this message with the parents of creatively minded students in Asia is critical to changing the mind-set towards study in these fields.”
