Miele, the premium German manufacturer of domestic appliances, has opened a new Experience Centre in Kai Tak to raise awareness about sustainable living and green initiatives. Built within AIRSIDE, a mixed-use green development in Kowloon, the Centre prominently features lush plants and recyclable materials to convey Miele’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
Visitors can explore Miele’s suite of smart kitchen, laundry and floor care appliances, over 80% of which currently power homes in the surrounding Kai Tak neighbourhood – a strong testament to the brand’s market leadership. They’ll also gain insights on best sustainable practices from various eco-focused workshops.
In partnership with organisations such as Grow Something and Fashion Clinic, Miele will offer sessions on zero-waste cooking techniques, extended clothing lifecycles, urban farming and more. Located adjacent to AIRSIDE’s rooftop gardens, the Centre allows hands-on participation in low-carbon lifestyle concepts.
Miele’s first Hong Kong “Recycle to Reward” programme incentivises customers to return empty cleaning product bottles by earning redeemable reward points. This incentivised system supports the brand’s pledge to promote responsible handling of products.
Miele is actively promoting the Centre’s opening celebrations through the end of October with experiences aimed at highlighting its commitment to sustainability. Visitors will be able to tour the green features and indoor garden installations, learning more about Miele’s focus on using eco-friendly materials and design. A special promotion is being held where the first 150 customers who spend HK$1,500 or more receive online shopping coupons worth HK$150 each. Those who stop by the Centre will also have a chance to redeem a complimentary barista-made coffee printed with their name or design. Through these interactive elements, Miele hopes to provide an engaging showcase of its innovative products and inspirations for greener living in the community.
With this new Experience Centre, Miele is cementing its role as a driving force for positive change through innovative technologies and collaborative solutions. By shining a light on pathways toward more eco-conscious daily living, Miele seeks to inspire communities across Hong Kong to embrace smarter, greener choices alongside the sustainable brands empowering such progress.
