IWG opens new Regus office in the heart of Shanghai

Three people cut a ceremonial ribbon at the opening of Regus' new office in Shanghai

IWG, the world’s leading provider of flexible workspaces with brands including Regus and Spaces, has expanded its global network with a new Regus Flexible Office Centre in Shanghai’s Hongqiao Central Business District.

The successful completion of Shanghai Longfor Hongqiao Paradise Walk Center acts as prelude for IWG to promote its franchise business model in China. With 30 years of international experience behind them, potential franchise owners will benefit from IWG’s comprehensive global operation system, dynamic strategies and existing network of customers.

The office opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Edward Hu, Country Manager of IWG China, Fan Hongqiao, head of Brighter Homes, and special guest Cai Yanguo, President of Matsu Group.

Edward Hu, Country Manager of IWG China, said, “I am very honoured to witness the opening of Regus Shanghai Longfor Hongqiao Paradise Walk Center today. Under the new normal of the pandemic, more and more enterprises are changing from the traditional centralised office model to a multi-point office model.”

IWG and its brands are capitalising on this trend; to date, the group has opened more than 3,500 flexible office centres in cities around the world, with the Chinese market predicted to see a lot of growth in the coming years.

IWG cooperated with Brighter Homes to open its new Regus office in Shanghai, making it one of the first franchise locations in the city. At the opening ceremony, Fan Hongqiao, head of Brighter Homes, said: “The cooperation with IWG is mainly for two purposes: first, I hope to learn from international first-line brands; second, I am optimistic about IWG’s ability to attract customers and improve both the standard operating systems and profitability of existing centres.”

Since launching its franchise business model in China in 2019, IWG has provided franchise owners with diversified and flexible cooperation options and improved their returns on investment. With many more projects already under negotiation, IWG looks forward to expanding its presence in China in the future.
