Get involved and celebrate the arts with ART Power HK

ART Power HK is a globally accessible online platform that highlights the vibrancy and diversity of the arts in Hong Kong. The ART Power HK campaign also aligns a moment to unite and celebrate the arts with programmes, exhibition openings, international auction house sales, open days, tours, VIP events and workshops hosted by partners throughout the city in May 2020.

As numerous events part of Hong Kong’s Art Month calendar have been impacted by COVID-19 and cancelled, the non-commercial and collaborative campaign grew organically from a community-wide desire to maintain momentum for the arts in Hong Kong. Uniting partners from across the arts ecosystem, ART Power HK showcases that the arts in Hong Kong are open, active and resilient.

ART Power HK is inviting and welcoming all stakeholders in Hong Kong’s art community to get involved.  The campaign has already garnered incredible and wide-ranging support, with confirmed partners from across Hong Kong’s art ecosystem committed to the ART Power HK movement, including galleries, museums, auction houses, not-for-profit organisations, educational institutions, corporate sponsors of the arts and cultural media outlets.

ART Power HK is grateful to Asia Society Hong Kong Center for agreeing to be the hosting partner of the campaign. As a registered not-for-profit organisation with a legacy of working with multiple stakeholders in the community, their support ensures the campaign has a strong foundation.

As an organically grown not-for-profit campaign, ART Power HK relies on the generous support of the community to fund the initiative. Asking ‘How much is the arts worth to you?’, the crowdfunding portal is now live here.

The ART Power HK Online Talks Programme focuses on the arts community in Hong Kong and will feature spokespeople from ART Power HK’s partner organisations, and the stakeholders that support them. Talks will take place weekly on Thursdays and be livestreamed from the ART Power HK Platform, www.artpowerhk.com. Sign up to ‘Be in the know’ from our website and receive updates on the talks programme. ART Power HK will host a Talks Programme in person that gathers the local community and international supporters to discuss trends and topics from around the world – dates and details to be confirmed.
